Terms of Service

Last updated JULY 16, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Naberhub Inc. (“Naberhub,” “we,” “us”), the company behind Cue. By downloading, signing in to, or using the Cue app or the cuebar.app website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Cue.

The service

Cue is a local-first macOS assistant that reads the text field and surrounding on-screen context you point it at, and helps you write, dictate, summarize, and answer questions, inserting results where you choose. Cue never sends a message on your behalf; you always review and decide. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your account

  • You must be the age of majority in your jurisdiction and able to form a binding contract to use Cue.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

  • Cue offers a free plan (with a monthly draft allowance) and paid Pro and Max plans; new accounts start with a 14-day Pro trial. Current prices and included AI actions are shown on our Pricing page.
  • New paid subscriptions may include a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the plan converts to a paid subscription and your payment method is charged.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled.
  • You can cancel anytime from the app's Account screen; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
  • Plans include a monthly allowance of cloud AI actions (a fair-use limit). Once the allowance is reached, cloud features pause until the next period or an upgrade; on-device dictation keeps working.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change on notice; changes apply to the next billing period.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Cue to:

  • Break the law, infringe others' rights, or process content you don't have the right to use.
  • Generate or distribute unlawful, harmful, harassing, or deceptive content.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its providers.
  • Resell, redistribute, or build a competing service from the app or its outputs in violation of these Terms.

Because Cue can read what is on your screen, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the content you direct it at, and for complying with any confidentiality or workplace obligations that apply to you.

AI output

Cue uses AI models to generate drafts, answers, and summaries. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing and editing anything Cue produces before you rely on it or send it. Cue is a tool to assist you, not a substitute for your own judgment or for professional (legal, financial, medical, or other) advice.

Your content

You own the content you create with Cue. The substance of your work stays on your Mac. When you use a cloud feature, you grant Naberhub a limited licence to process the specific content that feature needs, solely to provide the result to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We claim no ownership of your content.

Our intellectual property

Cue, the Cue name and mark, the website, and the software are owned by Naberhub Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Cue for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Connected accounts

Cue lets you connect third-party accounts (such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Slack, Notion, Outlook, Linear, Jira, or GitHub) so it can use their context in your requests. Connecting is optional and starts from within the app. By connecting an account you confirm that you are authorized to do so and to let Cue access its content for this purpose, and you agree to comply with that provider’s own terms. Cue accesses connected accounts on a read-focused basis to fulfill the requests you make and never sends, posts, replies, or deletes on your behalf. You can disconnect any account at any time from the app, which revokes access. The availability of these features depends on the third-party services and their providers, which are outside our control.

Third-party services

Cue relies on third-party providers (including Anthropic, Groq, Composio, Clerk, Stripe, Upstash, and Vercel) to deliver its features. Your use of Cue’s cloud features is also subject to those providers’ terms where applicable. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

Disclaimers

Cue is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Cue will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will meet your requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Naberhub Inc. and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Cue. Our total liability for any claim relating to Cue will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Naberhub Inc. from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of Cue, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using Cue at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably need to for legal, security, or operational reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Cue evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice. Continuing to use Cue after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where applicable consumer-protection law entitles you to bring a claim in your own province or territory.
